The Thursday evening 7-8pm slot has been re-christened the Thursday Evening Story Hour, now that the Harry Potter series is completed (with DVD’s featuring all 159 episodes of “Pea Reads Potter” hopefully completed by the time of the Christmas Fair, get your pre-orders in now!)
Bee and I will be continuing to dramatize the characters of books we read on the air. Our next story, which begins Thursday evening Nov 6, is an 80 page novellette entitled “Fishin’ With Grandma Matchie” by Canadian author Steven Erikson, an absurdist, fantastical tale suitable for the whole family, to be read in a backwoods hick accent.
We’ll be about a month on this one, and then continuing on with a fantasy trilogy called “His Dark Materials” by Philip Pullman, featuring “The Golden Compass”, book one of the series.
